Winn-Dixie launches fuelperks! to Offer

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2008) -- Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc., has partnered with Excentus to pilot fuelperks!--a program that allows customers to earn savings at the gas pump every time they shop in their 11 Panama City stores. As part of the pilot program, which launches today in the grocer's Panama City locations, the popular Winn-Dixie Customer Reward Card (CRC) has been redesigned to include the company's new logo and a magnetic stripe. For every qualified $50 purchase customers make using their new CRC, they will receive a 10-cent-per-gallon fuel discount redeemable at any one of 13 locations (list of stores and gas stations below).

"The fuelperks! program affords our CRC customers tremendous value and helps them to stretch their paychecks just a little further during these difficult economic times," said Robin Miller. Winn-Dixie's director of communications. "We are pleased to partner with Excentus to pilot the fuelperks! program in Panama City."

 Customers receive pertinent fuelperks! information instantly on the bottom of their sales receipts, including "current fuelperks! earned for this shopping trip," "overall fuelperks! earned to date," "expiration dates of fuelperks! earned" and "fuelperks! balance." Customers can also visit www.winn-dixie.com/fuelperks to view their fuelperks! account balances at any time. Current Winn-Dixie CRC holders in the Panama City area should visit their nearest neighborhood Winn-Dixie to convert to the new, redesigned card and become automatically enrolled in fuelperks!

Winn-Dixie's Customer Reward Card saves shoppers money with each purchase.

• CRC holders get instant discounts on hundreds of specially marked items throughout the store. And shoppers can still use manufacturers' coupons.

• CRC holders see the savings on register receipts.
  Customer Reward Card items are highlighted in Winn-Dixie's weekly circular and marked with special signs in the store. When customers present their Customer Reward Cards to the cashier, the discount will automatically be deducted.

• CRC holders enjoy exclusive Winn-Dixie shoppers' rewards.
